BC store associate is one of the leading snacks production in Canada. However, they are specialized in Bread, Cake, Puddings and other Pastries production. Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, they have shorten staffs. some of the  staff was infected and some resigned and traveled back to their country. On this note, the management need to replace the missing positions to continue production. Description of the Bakery Production

Major Responsibilities:

1. Produce the correct quantity of assigned products (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries) based on orders received
2. Perform production duties as assigned for various products (Bread, Cake, Puddings &/or other Pastries), which may include but not limited to:
Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing…etc.
Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards…etc.
Control fermentation and baking time, monitor temperature of cooler and oven
Decoration of Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries
3. Control product (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries) quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage
4. Responsible for cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area
5. Answer customers’ enquiries

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements for production:

1. Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative
2. Possess knowledge and prior experience in making bakery products (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries), including but not limited to:
Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing…etc.
Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards…etc.
Control fermentation and baking time and monitor the temperature of the cooler and oven
Decoration of Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries
3. Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification requires)
4. Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job
5. Good communication skills, able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) an asset
6. Good organization, and problem-solving skills
7. A good team player
8. Flexible to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
